… to my personal webpage. I am a professor of Political Science with a focus on Comparative Politics at the University of Mainz. Before I worked at the University of Münster, University of Osnabrück and at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne. My research interests are located at the intersection of comparative political economy, democracy research, and political theory. Over the last years, I have mainly dealt with the interplay of social and political inequality, voter turnout, representation and responsiveness. Between 2018 and 2021 I was head of the German Political Science Association (DVPW).
