In January, the MaxPo center in Paris celebrated its fifth anniversary with a two-day workshop. The meeting’s title was “Destabilizing Orders: Understanding the Consequences of Neoliberalism.” Among others, Mark Blyth, Marie-Laure Djelic, Marion Fourcade, Wolfgang Streeck, Adam Tooze, and Cornelia Woll gave presentations. Most contributors have written a short think piece on their respective contribution, which are now jointly available as a MaxPo Discussion Paper. My own contribution has the title “The Poor Representation of the Poor” and summarizes parts of my research over the last few years.
